Dry Eyes is an information site for patients with dry eye. It is meant for people whose eyes sting, hurt or get tired, and who are sometimes already tired of drops that do not help enough. Our aim is simple: to give you clear, reliable information, so that you understand what is happening in your eyes and what can be done.

Our aim

Dry eye is a common condition, but it is more complex than it seems. It has different types and different causes, and the right treatment depends on what is causing the symptoms. On the site you will find explanations of the causes, the tests and the treatment options, in plain language and without promises.

Behind the site is a dry eye specialist, and alongside it is the Dry Eye Clinic in Haifa, for those who need more than home care. Most people with dry eye manage with simple treatment at home. Others need a thorough examination and treatment at the clinic, and the pages about the clinic and about the dry eye consultation are meant for them.

The patient comes first

We write the content from the patient's point of view. We try to explain every medical term, to say honestly when research is still limited, and to point out when a treatment may help only some people. The information on the site does not replace an examination by a doctor, and every page about symptoms also tells you when to see a doctor straight away.

How the content is written and reviewed

Every medical article on the site is written on the basis of professional guidelines and recognised research, and ends with a list of sources you can check. Before publication the content is medically reviewed, and every article shows when it was last updated. We go back to the content and update it when knowledge changes.

You will find the full principles, including how we choose sources and correct mistakes, in the editorial policy. If you find a mistake or something unclear, we would be glad if you wrote to us.
